Pledge policy
Purchase intent—not payment or investment.
The current pledge system helps creators measure demand while keeping users in control and collecting no money.
What happens when you pledge
- Your chosen amount and product are saved as purchase intent.
- No card, bank account, or payment method is requested or charged.
- The pledge contributes to aggregate pledger and pledged-value totals.
- A qualifying waitlist entry moves to pledged status.
What a pledge does not mean
- It is not a purchase, preorder, deposit, donation, loan, security, equity interest, or investment.
- It does not obligate you to buy or the creator to sell or deliver.
- It does not guarantee pricing, release dates, benefits, refunds, returns, or product availability.
- Public pledged totals are validation signals, not revenue.
Amounts and withdrawal
The marketplace currently accepts saved intentions from $1 to $20. You may withdraw an active pledge through your account dashboard. Withdrawal removes it from qualifying public totals and records the change in your private history.
If payments are introduced
A future paid transaction would require a separate checkout, clear pricing and seller identity, applicable terms, and explicit consent. Existing non-payment pledges will not be charged automatically.
Creator use of pledge data
Creators receive aggregate metrics and event notifications for their products. They should treat pledges as uncertain demand evidence—not committed sales—and must not market them as investments or guaranteed revenue.
